Ah, New Post smell.
Can't get any sweeter, huh?
So here is a little background on me in 10 hollow bulleted facts:
°My name is Dara Boyd. Dara means ''compassionate'' in Hebrew and Boyd means ''light hair'' in Scottish.
°I am an Aquarius, it doesn't matter if you do or don't believe in Western astrology, it matters that I fall under the oddest sign that exists.
°I was born in Germany, grew up in rural south central Pennsylvania, 10 outside of Gettysburg, in a small ass town called Littlestown. I've moved around quite a bit and have lived in San Antonio, Texas, Boise, Idaho, and now reside in Santiago, Chile.
°I had my first paranormal experience when I was 4 and have been experiencing that side of life ever since. It never ceases to scare me. For that, I am a 26 year old who has a phobia of the dark.
°I am a massage therapist and eventually want to study aromatherapy, reflexology, and reiki. I was inspired to get into the healing field when I was 15 and my great-grandfather told me that his side of the family were gypsy healers. His grandmother also had a psychic gift of contacting the spirit world, which is probably where I get it. She healed people with an egg pendulum and probably other things. But I distinctly remember him mentioning the egg pendulum and throwing it into a fire.
°I'm a vegan. And a liberal member of the Green Party. Watch out. I'm pretty annoying because I think everyone wants to hear my opinion.
°My parents are still married after 30 years and they're an awesome couple. I have an older brother who is my polar opposite although it doesn't deter me from being proud of him.
°I found my Chihuahua 4 years ago at an apartment complex where I used to live in San Antonio, Texas. I tried for 2 weeks to find her family but after failing to do so, I decided to give her a home- mine! I named her Vedavich Lynnette Aafida Boyd... or just Veda. She's my little buddy who has ventured across country and back and to another country with me.
°I love food more than most people probably should.
°Last but not least, I am married to a pretty awesome guy. He's my very best friend and I take pride in being his wifey.
I would have written more facts, but for the fear of sounding more narcissistic than I really am, I discontinued. Anyway, I like to write about the moments in my life that I will eventually laugh about, my clumsy ventures, my experiences in life, recipes for food, herbal remedies, all natural body care, and green cleaning products. my dog, my hubby, and whatever else comes to mind.
Well that is all for now, so until next time...
Blessed Be!
